Follow up with guests

Following up is the week after a first visit — the stretch where churches lose most of the people they just met, because everybody assumed somebody else had called.

This section covers where guests land, who picks them up, and how to make the routine part happen without anybody remembering.

Where to start

Open the Guests hub and look at the Needs attention tab. It answers the only question that matters on a Monday: who came, and who has nobody looking after them?

Once you can see that, decide how much of the follow-up should be automatic. Guest Journeys handles the predictable parts — the thank-you, the reminder, the check-in a fortnight later — and leaves your team the conversations that actually need a person.

:::note An assigned task is not a conversation Passport can create the task and send the text. It cannot make the call. The point of automating the routine part is to free somebody up for the part that is not routine. :::

Where guests come from

Everything in Bring guests in feeds this section — the Visit Page, the connection card, prospect cards and ads all end up in the same hub. Once somebody is settled, Help people belong takes over.
