Coverage Heatmap

The Coverage Heatmap shows where your outreach team has been active on the map — helping you quickly see which neighborhoods are well-covered and where your church has room to grow.

What you need​

  • Access to the Outreach section in Passport
  • At least one logged outreach interaction with a location

Open the Coverage Heatmap​

  1. In Passport, open Outreach in the main navigation.
  2. Select the Map tab at the top of the GoReach dashboard.
  3. In the map toolbar, click Heatmap (next to Pins).

The map switches from individual pins to a color-coded density overlay.

Read the heatmap​

The heatmap colors each area by how much outreach activity has taken place there, based on logged interactions.

ColorCoverage level
BlueLow — few or no recent interactions
Green–YellowModerate coverage
Orange–RedHigh — many recent interactions

A Coverage density legend in the lower corner shows the full scale from low to high.

Filter by outreach worker​

To see coverage for a specific team member instead of the whole team:

  1. Open the Heatmap view.
  2. Use the Filter coverage by outreach worker dropdown in the toolbar.
  3. Select a worker's name, or choose All workers to return to the combined view.

This is useful when reviewing a single volunteer's territory or comparing team members' activity areas.

Change the time range​

By default, the heatmap shows coverage from the last 30 days. To change this:

  1. Open the Heatmap view.
  2. Click one of the time range pills in the toolbar: 7d, 30d, 60d, 90d, or All.

The map updates automatically. Use All to see your church's full historical outreach footprint.

:::tip Spot gaps in coverage Switch between Heatmap and Pins views to compare density against individual prospect locations. Blue or empty areas on the heatmap that have pins are prospects who have not been contacted recently. :::

Switch back to the Pins view​

Click Pins in the map toolbar at any time. The heatmap disappears and individual prospect markers reappear, color-coded by how recently each person was contacted.
